Confessions -- And the movie The Last Voyage of Demeter

I used to idolize/love vampires and anything vampire related.

Buffy, Angel, John Carpenters Vampires, Vampire Diaries, Twilight, etc. But the best was the AOL vampire chat rooms.

Being myself and in a chat room of vampires. I LOVED IT.

Looking back now..... it was probably an attention thing. "human" in a "vampire" chat. Of course attention would be involved. But also Daddy issues and liking men taking charge (at least back then).

Now, 17 years later, I'm watching "The Last Voyage of Demeter", the vampire movie, and realizing...

Vampires must be so sad. It must be terrible to be one.

Think about it...you live forever... we as humans get bored by the time we are 30. IMAGINE FOREVER. "Oh I would love to experience the future"... oh, except the future happens SO SLOW now. We had cell phones in the 1990s, it's 2023 and we still have cell phones. SLOW.

You need blood. Granted, getting blood is probably easier now because people are extra freaky these days (probably because the media and *cough vampires cough* desensitized people over time and convinced people of cult like things and blood sharing and etc).

You obviously don't age so you would have to move constantly. Which seems easy at first but after 3000 years? Your picture is bound to be taken. The world is closing in on you daily. Facial hair can only do so much. But hey there is AI now..... Coincidence???

In conclusion, only extroverts can be vampires.

Vampire chat rooms 🤔

Never heard of such a thing, i like mythology.. dark fairytales

I wouldn’t contemplate entering a chat room online about it tho

Gimme the literature anyday over that experience lol 🖤
