I Have a Confession

I look like I'm sixteen or seventeen. (Someone said I looked fifteen once but that's stretching it .-.)

I was walking through a parking lot yesterday and someone with a clipboard came up and asked, "Are you registered to vote?"

I said, "No, I'm seventeen, sorry." And nyoomed the fnck outta there. I'm twenty years old lmao

Anyway. Sorry guy. Working to get signatures under the hot sun probably sucks- I admire your endurance. But my break was almost over and also I didn't wanna 馃槶

You should totally register to vote. I'm a millennial but i'm a senior one because I'm 32 so i'm barely young enough but my generation is politically disengaged and it's a shame because politicians take our issues for granted as a result. Student loan debt isn't even on their Radar for instance. We need more of us. The thing about our generation is we out number the baby boomers and if we all voted we'd automatically win. We'd be the decisive factor and king makers in every election but we give up power and don't use it.
@BetweenKittensandRiots Oh yeah I'm registered to vote 馃槉 I just didn't want to sign the petition
@TeamSkullGrunt I got approached at one point to sign a petition to undo the estate tax and I blew the woman off because The Estate tax really effects the rich and powerful and really has nothing to do with my interest if anything I want the wealthy to keep paying it because otherwise they're going to redistribute the taxes downward and make me and the poor and middle class pay the debt. we just got in the car and drove off. It's totally fine to blow off petitions. Often you don't agree with what they're trying to do.
