I Have a Confession

Before you tell me to move out, I am already making the moves to do so. Here's the deal:

I met these two guys off of craigslist as two potential roommates and they seemed really cool. After a few weeks of debating, I moved in. One goes by X (short for Ericx) and he's an NCO in the Army and he's much easier to be around than PK (short for Patrick) who's an ordinary civilian in college. Obviously X isn't the problem. PK is. So here we go

After the first month there are a few hiccups for adjusting to a new lifestyle. Clean up after yourself, respect the bedrooms, etc. The works. I'm all, "Okay, that's easy enough." Then one day, I go out of my way to do a good deed: Check the mail, and if there is any, get it and bring it in. PK flips out! Okay, I'm exaggerating, but it isn't far from the truth. He proceeds to tell me that I am completely and utterly forbidden to get the mail. I ask X about it. He says, "It's a federal offense to touch others' mail." Then he gives me a compromise, "You can get your stuff from the box, but leave the rest." Okay, I can do that.

Now we come to today, the second incident in two weeks. I am coming back to my rented place THAT I NOW GET MAIL AT with a package that I picked up from the post office. Like, I had to drive far away from the house to get this mail. Remember that. PK sees me holding the package and asks me if I grabbed it from the box, I say no and that I already checked and that the box was empty as of late. He confronts me about never checking the mail and I demand why my right to check for MY MAIL was taken away by this joker. I think he will try to evict me if I even so much as open the door to the box, but it remains to be seen. I've asked him before and got no answers and tried to change my tactics only to be shaken off by more none-answers. The only theory I can come up with is that he won't tell me why I am explicitly forbidden from checking for MY OWN MAIL because even he knows that it's stupid and can't be justified. Thoughts?
