I had to hand over the ward to him in the morning after my night shift. The entire scenario kept playing in my head all night in which I was giving him a piece of my mind after handing him over the charge. When morning finally came around, and the round was finished, I bit my tongue and went inside the office to call an uber. Incidentally, while waiting, another doctor I had been discussing a case with messaged me. I needed to forward this message to this despicable man, so on my way out, I made a turn to the ward, called him with a hand gesture (index finger up with a nod), he came up to me but as he was bouta get too close, I gave him a stop sign and said "duur" (or "distance"). It was a way to say "I don't trust you or your intentions and I don't trust how close you might get, your existence makes me thoroughly uncomfortable". I'm sure I got that across.
