is it common for a middle aged male to feel uncared for

[c=A69800]i am now a male in my middle age, the only support i have really are my elderly parents and they live far...they phone me a few times each day, i live in a flat on my own, lived here 18 years...i have mental problems i cope with...and sometimes i feel abandoned in life, deserted..like no one- besides my parents- care for me, no one gives a damn about me or cares for me...i live a lonely existence and isolated sometimes too....sometimes i don't see eye to eye with my parents and even feel uncared for by them too.

i worry about my future too, what am i going to do?[/c]

Yes, it is. Because by and large, it's true. No reason to hold a grudge or be upset about it once you let go of your desire to be cared for. I suggest reading the Bible & a good church...but if you just can't do that for whatever reason..get yourself some of the writings of the Stoics. It will help you process your situation better.
I have been there as many men have.
