@graphite Banning the sale of guns seems to work in most other civilised countries; but then, America is not a civilised country when it comes to guns.

@graphite wouldn’t it be nice if we could have a discussion where we differentiate between legal immigration vs illegal immigration , or responsible gun ownership vs irresponsible gun ownership ?
That might actually lead to solutions though . So instead we lump them together , to guarantee a logical discussion never takes place .

@SW-User Yes, in England where they can't easily get guns, the criminals use knives and throw acid in victims' faces. Knife control is now a thing in the UK. But be assured, criminals are not the problem, the weapons are. That's why God got rid of all rocks after Cain killed Abel, right?

You should start a new post if you want to discuss Gun Laws.

@ABCDEF7 I am making the very obvious point here that Republicans (and it is Republicans) are very happy to pass draconian abortion laws (which, at the end of the day, is about controlling women). But they will not sanction even common sense gun laws that would reduce the number of school shootings to almost zero.

Pro lifers do not care about children and family; they care only about control.

@TheGreatestEver123 People can change their gender to whichever one of the hundreds of genders exist and be happy with it. All you need nowadays is a gender reassignment certificate in some cases. That’s fine with me 🙂

It also doesn’t mean that a man who identifies as a woman has the right to walk into women’s restrooms.

@SW-User there are no ‘genders’. Gender is a spectrum of masculinity/femininity.

And you are wrong because in the U.K., a man can ‘identify’ as a woman and after 3 months he can get a GRC and access to women’s spaces. This has happened recently with a male rapist in Scotland who was placed in a woman’s prison. It’s absurd and it has to stop.
