@missyann Why rape? How is a rape fetus different from any other? A woman has to be violated before you'll let her have one?

I support abortion in every case where the woman wants one. The only abortions that are wrong are when a woman is forced to have an abortion when she doesn't want one.

But those conceived through rape are no less human than conceived in any other circumstances. If you support abortion why bring rape up? It falls under all abortions. The procedure is the same. @missyann So you think ten year old rape victims should give birth because the potential baby is more important than the actual baby. Also, it's not a "baby" until it's born. Before birth, it's a ZEF.

I only bring rape up because it shows the hypocrisy of the PL movement. PL always bring up the 0.5% of third trimester abortions as if every abortion is a full-term fetus, so if that's important, so are the rape victims who cannot get legal abortions in at least ten states.

I feel.like you are asking this question to trip me. My answer will make me either a monster or a liar. For a moment I was thankful that I wasn't the one who had to make this decision. But then I I remembered anytime I hear horrific stories like this I wished that it was me who it happened to instead.
I believe in God. I'm not religious, I haven't been to church for a couple years. Rape and incest.are horrific crimes and I believe that these men should not pass go and receive the death penalty or be castrated. Period . But I know this alone won't help this girl heal right now

A life conceived.in rape or incest are still human beings. Not abominations. These babies aren't born with horns or with 666 branded on their head. In a nursery of 10 babies 1 conceived in a rape. You could not tell which one it was by looking at them. This child didn't ask to be conceived anymore than a baby that was planned. That little girl didn't deserve to be raped. But this baby is also an innocent victim.

I believe that if God allowed her to be pregnant after something so evil. (I believe that God allows a woman to get pregnant, a woman doesn't choose.) He must have a special plan. I believe saying this child has no worth because it was a victim of rape is wrong

Yes I believe that she should have the baby. I know that she is so young but God will see her through if she i meant to carry it to term. I think it would be hard for to keep it. She certainly couldn't raise it without her parents. Adoption would be an.option. A young girl 12 in south Paraguay had a baby under the same conditions and speaks for prolife and says prolife law saved her daughter.

I do understand why she chose abortion I know that.it would be hardest thing for her to go through but you asked me. I'm ready for anything you throw at me.

@missyann Not everyone believes in God or thinks a benevolent God would allow a ten year old to become pregnant. Bad things can happen. A merciful God would not allow children to get leukemia either. Bringing religion into the discussion sidetracks it and implies that you think your religion should be imposed by force.

@LeopoldBloom I realize that not everybody believes in God and even those who don't believe that a merciful God would allow something horrific happen to child. I'm not saying that he does or doesn't. I have never met God to personally ask.

I have been taught and believe that without suffering we would not know love and compassion. I believe that Love and compassion n to help someone we don't know is one of the greatest loves there is. It has always been asked " why would a loving,merciful God allow a child to suffer. Suffering sometime brings some closer to God. Sometimes it turns them away. I believe.in this case, it should bring people together and surround this child and love her not matter what her choice was.

I would NEVER expect this now, i would expect it to take years and would never mention it to her for a long time, but eventually forgive him. She and her family have every right to hate this man and wish nothing but suffering on him. He should absolutely still receive the death penalty and I would advocate for her for this. Forgiving not to help that person. Forgiving will be for her.

@missyann Suffering is only meaningful if someone voluntarily takes it onto themselves. There is nothing to be gained by a supposedly benevolent diety allowing a child to suffer when they have the abilty to end it. Saying "God has a purpose" is just making excuses. And if a child is raped and wants an abortion, it shouldn't even be a matter of discussion; she should just have one without having to jump through hoops or endure further humiliation. The potential life of the ZEF should not take precedence over the actual life of the child.

I'm far more comforted by the belief that as living creatures in physical bodies, suffering is part of life but should be avoided as much as possible. It has no meaning beyond that. Forcing people to suffer needlessly when it could easily be alleviated is sadism.
