Ah yes, the Democrats led by Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, who's tireless work on codifying abortion rights has been legendary! 😆

Even if they happen to scrape by, the Dems aren't going to pursue legislation to preserve abortion rights, they don't have the momentum or votes to do it.
@SumKindaMunster
When your mother wife or daughter gets gang raped and you force them to carry the seed ..you can explain it to them
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
[@Ryderbike 😆 Shut up idiot, that's totally irrelevant to what I said.
@SumKindaMunster you are free to hate women,,, despicable but you have rights
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ryderbike I don't hate anyone.

I'm assuming this is you projecting.
@SumKindaMunster well if you dont have respect for your mothers dominion over her own body then you certainly won’t respect any other woman.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ryderbike I don't have respect for partisan, childish trolls who jerk themselves off putting other people down. I don't believe I've ever seen you respond seriously or relevantly to comments, but you sure do get around acting like a profane crank!
@SumKindaMunster true..I don’t suffer fools well.

By the way

721st straight day since the 2020 election that not one
single Republican DA anywhere in the United States has called a Grand
Jury to look into voter fraud.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ryderbike Well admitting the problem is the first step to making a change.

There is no value in going around childishly trying to upset people with partisan propaganda, you certainly aren't changing anyone's mind.

I'm assuming this is a need to put others down to build yourself up. That's a fools errand. Look inside and find your self worth and what you are good at and work on that, not this silly troll nonsense.
@SumKindaMunster you know what assume does correct?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ryderbike If I thought you had an actual interesting answer to that, I might inquire, but I think its pretty clear you're a pouty crank who just wants to put others down and probably wants to say something pejorative.

Anything else?
@SumKindaMunster still huh?
@SumKindaMunster They would if Congressional representation reflected actual numbers instead of giving rural voters an advantage. If abortion was put to a vote, it would only be illegal in two or three states. That's why you people are terrified of the popular vote.

@LeopoldBloom even Kansas voted to keep abortion legal
@SumKindaMunster typical Republican never accepts responsibility for what they do. Republicans overturn Roe and of course it’s the Democrats fault. I will say one thing for you, you’re consistent
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@LeopoldBloom
you people
😆

If there is one constant I've noted in our interactions over the years, LeopoldBloom, aka Shoes of Wandering, aka George Washington Jr, its that I remember things about you and can absorb them and apply them to my conversations with you, while you are stuck in this constant fantasy where you construct me as a conservative republican when its pretty obvious my political beliefs are certainly conservative on some stuff, but they are more libertarian than republican. Once again, I remind you I am an Independent, I am not a joiner and I vote for the candidate that best represents my interests.

BTW, I have no issues with Kansas voting to keep abortion legal. They put it to a vote and came up with the solution that works best for that state. Other states should emulate that.
@Ryderbike Abortion rights are popular even among conservatives. If abortion could be voted on by referendum, it would only be illegal in maybe 2 or 3 states. The question is whether the issue is important enough for conservatives to vote Democratic or not vote at all.
@SumKindaMunster As I told the other poster, if each state could hold an initiative, abortion would only be illegal in maybe 3 states. However, not all states have an initiative process. But I take it that you would oppose a nationwide ban because each state should "come up with the solution that works best for that state."
@LeopoldBloom Why should a state decide when you can just leave it up to the woman?
@SumKindaMunster There’s no more fundamental freedom than dominion over your own body. I don’t care what a state votes. It should be left up to the woman since it’s her body.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@LeopoldBloom
But I take it that you would oppose a nationwide ban because each state should "come up with the solution that works best for that state."
I would yes.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ryderbike I agree, I don't support a ban on abortion.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@LeopoldBloom If, as you mentioned, several states did ban abortion through a fair democratic process, would you honor those laws?

Or would you say they are unjust, and support smuggling pregnant women to other locations for abortions?
@Ryderbike Of course abortion should be a protected right nationwide. I'm just pointing out that if you did actually leave it up to the people of the various states, they would vote to legalize it in almost all of them. But we do need a national law to protect it as no state should be allowed to oppress its citizens even if a majority in that state is OK with that.
@SumKindaMunster I don't think abortion rights should be left up to the states any more than slavery should. We need a national law protecting abortion rights. But in the absence of that, I would support smuggling women across state lines for abortions, and if I found myself on a jury deciding the fate of a woman or doctor accused under these new laws, I would engage in jury nullification and vote not guilty even if evidence of their "guilt" was overwhelming.

I believe we have a moral duty to oppose evil and unjust laws. Do you agree with that in general even if you don't agree with it in this particular context? Or do you think we have a duty to obey all laws with no exceptions? I'm not talking about doing this arbitrarily or frivolously. This should be reserved for only the most egregious examples.
