Are you as tired of hearing about abortions as much as I am now at this point?

its never ending here on this site now. Dont yall have anything else to talk about?
I get the irony of making another thread on abortions while saying I am tired of hearing about it. No need to point that out haha

I honestly despise the abortion debate, but not because it's had too much. I hate it because everyone's completely pig-headed and talking past each other the whole time. The pro-lifers think pro-choicers are just demons who wanna kill babies & the pro-choicers think the pro-lifers are all men who hate women. Both are mostly incorrect.

That said, this moment in time is pivotal to abortion rights in the US; a set of new, catastrophic laws just got passed and the Supreme Court rolled back the clock decades on the issue. Frankly, it would be ridiculous for abortion NOT to be flooding the public consciousness right now (again, in the US).

I think that was well said.@BlueVeins

it's an important discussion. it wouldn't be good if all people ignored the situation.

when i don't wanna see certain topics, i just hide the posts about them and that's enough to eradicate it from my SW experience
pentacorn · F
@Torsten people are talking about it everywhere. you'd restrict them here, even though you can just ignore it?
Torsten · 36-40, M
@pentacorn who said I would restrict it? damn, does everyone on this site just make assumptions and act like its facts?
pentacorn · F
@Torsten it was a question, but i'm all done now. have a nice day

Too much focus on a specific issue and not the wider potential consequences. If its not in the constitution it’s under review. Amendment 13 looks shaky if you can now sentence half your population to 9 months ‘servitude’.

Oh and it says all ‘men’ are created equal.
Repete · 61-69, M
A slippery slope for sure.@meJess
SW-User
Lol i don't talk about it because it's illegal in my country
@SW-User it is legal in certain circumstances though i thought?
Not tired of hearing about it, but it's not a super important issue to me. Though I am concerned about the very strong possibility that this is only the beginning.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@BohemianBoo I honestly just think this abortion news is out to sway votes for mid elections. But yes this feels like only the beginning
@Torsten If that were the case, the Republicans would deny it. Instead, they're trying to deflect by pretending to care about who leaked it.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@BohemianBoo it’s just the beginning of the government taking away all rights. It’s not just wonen’s rights.
Dewkissedrose · 46-50, F
I am very tired of it.
Fluffybull · F
Agree. I hide the posts.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Fluffybull smart

I don't blame them we all have a tendency to vent on here. I still see people talking about stolen elections on here, which is fine in my opinion.
No. There needs to be more talk about it. Babies lives are literally being taken as we speak.

Don't be a liberal and have some morals
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Stargazer89 yes because discussing it on here over and over will do anything to change that
Repete · 61-69, M
Not in the least. For now this is the fight for their rights to try to stop this before it happens it’ll be harder after it gets overturned. ( if it does)
SW-User
What wait?! People have to whine somewhere about how they have the right to pull apart a baby and end its right to life.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@SW-User sadly that is the state of things now it would seem
RupertCornelius · 36-40, M
i for one happen to love abortion.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Yeah, pretty much. We all have our opinions, and no one is going to be changing anyone's mind. I think that when you get old, things are more grey than black or white. I see both sides of the issue.
I think it will not end any Time soon
