I Am Sick of People Saying Abortion Is Murder

Well I was one who gave stupid advice to a young girl
I told her from a medical standpoint if there is no brain ,there is no life
since that is the definition of a clinical death ,
but I didn't foresee the effects that would follow
Being forced by law to listen to the babies heart beat
It ruined her nursing career I thought it would save ,she started feeling ill all the time ,and no one was hammering her she committed murder ,no one knew except her and I .She never told the Dad .to this day she hasn't .
No one knows except me ,she never even told her Mom .
She dropped out of the RN program ,she said she couldn't sleep ,she kept hearing the babies heart beat every time she tried to sleep .
I ended up giving her meds that were prescribed to me that keep me from dreaming ,I used to suffer from service connected PTSD ,I relived to many deaths in my sleep ,so they do make meds for such a thing ,it helped
but I only had so many pills and she refused to go to the doctor for herself ,so she turned to alcohol .she is still drinking .
She later became pregnant again ,one she actually planned ,but miscarried
She felt it was a result of the one she felt she killed .
She has since tried to commit suicide several times ,God was punishing her
(no one rammed that down her throat either ,but she was raised in Church .
She finally had a son and she recently gave him some sound advice
Don't mess with a girl unless you are man enough to be the Dad if the birth control fails .
She was on birth control and she used a condom ,but still ended up pregnant
She was taking antibiotics for a bad tooth that had got assessed so she was warned that it would make birth control ineffective ,,hence the condom .
but it failed too (what are the chances ?)
She has since finally reached a point she is no longer suicidal ,but she is a drunk and a drug addict ,,it eases the pain she says ,and it still makes me feel I played a big part in how she turned out ,I try to encourage her ,I helped her go back to school ,she is a good nurse ,but she won't hold a job long .
You know who feels the guiltiest ? me for putting in my 2 cents where it didn't belong .
My brother had killed himself ,or should I say he did the deed ,I am the one who turned off the life support so they could harvest his organs ,,
The said he had no brain functions ,so clinically he was dead ,the only thing keeping him to appear to be alive was the machines .
I seen the skull scattered all through his brain ,so I know he would have passed on his own had it not been for the machines ,,but the no brain functions ,that stuck with me ,,and was the basis for me telling someone looking for justification for aborting a baby that it would be alright ,
But I couldn't imagine how it would effect her down the road ,even though I knew another lady who had an abortion and later regretted it too ,
I seen her break down more then once and cry and tell me how guilty she felt ,and like the first young lady I mentioned ,no one knew she was pregnant .
She aborted it as soon as she found out she was ,the Dad never knew .
So I get not everyone looks at it the same way .
My first wife had a perfect body but she hated condoms and birth control
So when she became pregnant ,her first response was "I don't want a baby messing up my body ,I want an abortion ,the last one ,she was cheating on me and was scared to death ,it was my cousins child ,she does look like him but to this day I have never wanted a DNA test ,she is and always will be my baby .but she was so scared ,she left me before the baby was born but I begged her back home ,assured her I didn't care ,I loved her and the baby ,
But 3 times I talked her out of an abortion ,,(I wish I had tried to talk the girl out of one too ,,but she was in college and unmarried )
We now have 6 grand kids ,my middle daughter has fostered over 25 kids
Taken from drug addict Moms that could not take care of themselves let alone the kids they keep cranking out ,,but all of them were adopted by parents that did want them and all of them are happy now ,they are all still very much a part of my /our family
So my advice to anyone is ,,unless its you ,,mind you're own business
I don't have a right to tell her she can't ,,but I sure as hell will never tell another girl its ok
If you are grown enough to have sex ,,the boy and the girl
You should be the ones old enough to make the choices
and abortion as an after birth control should not be one of them .
If you are grown enough to have sex ,you should know in advance condoms don't always work and there is always a possibility of creating a life ,
That is when they should have made the choice .are we willing to take the risk and the adult choices that come with it .
I have raised 3 of my grand kids ,,2 of them their Dad was killed when they were 3 and 5 ,,the other her Dad was just a dead beat that would rather go to jail then pay child support ,,He left my kid when he found out she was pregnant ,then her second child's Dad ran out on her too
So I raised their kids and I am disabled ,a disease eating my spine
They are healthy men ,just sorry ,and my grand kids are not the only kids they have that they don't support ,they should be chemically neutered and not be allowed to keep making babies they won't support .
So I can see both sides of the coin ,,
But I will never advise another female to abort ,or give her justification
Putting an unwanted baby up for adoption would have been a lot easier on her as to telling me many times when she is drinking ,,"I still hear its heartbeat ,I killed my child "
I don't know about other states ,but in Florida they make them listen to the heartbeat ,and stress this is a life ..are you sure you want to go through with this "
She did at the time ,but she has regretted it every since ,even to the point of trying to kill herself ,
I hate when people judge others too
But I am just as sick of hearing "its her body her choice "
The baby didn't get asked if it had one ,and I now believe
if it has a heart and its beating ,its as alive as the sperm cell that won the race to the egg that later becomes a child
I repent often for putting my 2 cents where I should have kept quiet
