@SW-User I've forgotten quite how this place works for posting such - I got trolled by someone a while back, so I took a break from posting it - not worried so much about being trolled, but could just do without the hassle of defending (which I do, if need be, resolutely). I find the blocking mechanism here is pretty good though, so I will try again, when I have a moment. I have just written one to include in my daughter's wedding speech I will give next Saturday week; I will share it a bit later and let you know :) Do you write as well? Glad to meet you :)

Yes. I write poetry and short stories. The poetry is posted here, but there's like...200 of them so, you'll be scrolling for a while if you have the desire to read them all, lol. :-)

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding! What an exciting time! The stress can be overwhelming though. I hope it all is going smoothly. My son got married two years ago and I have four daughters...it's going to be SO different with my daughter's I think....and that's enough of THAT line of thinking for me today, lol. 😢

@SW-User Awww, I know how you feel. My daughter is marrying a guy from Tennessee, so she will be quite a way away (away!)(there must be a poem to be had there, methinks!) - but, good news, she's already booked flights to come home for Christmas with new Tennessee hubby (guess who had to pay for the tickets :( ). More later :)

@Valentine 😢 So sweet! I was just thinking, I wrote one recently that may resonate with you because it's about a father and daughter on her wedding day. I'll post the link to it for you.

@Valentine Here's the link. I wrote this poem based on a challenge to get the emotions across in just a few words, so it is very short, but hopefully I made my point. I'd like to write a longer version at some point.
