Why is it that men (usually... sometimes) get better with age
& we girls end up looking like a melted wellie?

Men look just as terrible. They just have the gift of a societal lens that makes everyone think they look okay. It's like beer goggles but for sober people. I choose to call them Clooney-Gere goggles. Where everyone hopes the man they end up with in their 60s looks like those two. The reality is... we all look decrepite.

@Sonnet Awww But I totally typed that in the moment and was really momentarily proud of it lol. Honestly though...I don't know... I don't know if I agree with you, because I can think of some gorgeous older women. Maybe it's just Darwinian. If a male survives, then he must be a good protector, like the old lion who still has lots of lionesses.
