As far as Donald trump being idolized by white supremacists, Obama was idolized by black supremacists, so what's your point?

@Brando: Apparently no one likes to think about the black panthers. They may not have lasted as long, but they were still a problem and the mentality is just as harmful whether you're white, black, brown, purple, or whatever.

@AnInfamousDerka: Yeah, they did some real damage in the 70s. But I don't think I can compare that phenomenon to white supremacy, its history, and its legacy. PC is a real issue, though, I get that.

@Brando: it doesn't matter how long it lasted, it matters that it is just as potentially harmful. It puts you in an us vs them mentality and basically kneecaps the idea of coexisting peacefully. I'm not under some false illusion that there aren't racist people out there, there are shitty people everywhere and they aren't just white.

@AnInfamousDerka: Yes, I agree. There are shitty people in all groups. I just think black and white supremacy are false equivalents.

@Brando: They are equivalent though. Length of time the group was active doesn't matter. The goals and ideals of both actively conflict with genuine equality. The thought that people need to pay reparations for what happened because of ancestors they never knew in their lifetime is what is causing the PC movement to get out of hand and still be gaining traction. I'm all for don't be a dick to your fellow man, but at the rate this is going, we are on the road to passing laws based on thought crimes.

@Brando: I'm sorry if I seem like I'm being an ass, I'm not trying to be, I'm just trying to explain my position on all of this and reading through what I've written, I'm doing a poor job of doing so. I appreciate your calm demeanor and lack of name calling through this, it is genuinely refreshing, don't see that happen very often.
