What words/terms are completely different depending on where you live?

Refrigerator/icebox
Trash can/rubbish can
Bathroom/restroom
Dinner/supper
just to name a few...

and now....blinker/indicator!!!

@Cajunfirefly: that's cool. It's actually quite fascinating how different areas depict different things. Where I am, broken down it could mean, Sprite, Pepsi, Orange Fanta, Grape Fanta, Pepsi, etc.

@Nat14: Where I am it would sound a little silly to call an Orange Fanta a Coke. 🙂 It is interesting though.

@sweetiepoo: yeah i can see how it would be. But down here Coke is like Band-Aid or Rollerblades or Kleenex. It's a brand name that's used like a generic. I wanna Coke. What kind? A Sprite. :)

@Nat14: 😂Here, a " Band-aid" could be a bandage or bandaid, just like Kleenex/tissue, or Hot Tub/Jacuzzi.
