because scaring people is more important than losing your health care?

@GoldenWorm: Is that the same healthcare that may people lost when Obama shoved his plan down down America's throat? The one that most of the providers have pulled out of because they lost so much money. Are you still paying for your Obamacare? I would be not. Because the rates went up so much the average American cannot fund it.

@bigjohndl: they went up less under Obama than before and check the trumpcare scoring, older folks can expect 800% increases. 23 million losing coverage. It'd be higher but the score says with more dead, there will be some savings.

@GoldenWorm: I don't think there is any point in trying.... Some people are just unsaveable.

@GoldenWorm:
@Laifu1: You guys are delusional. There is not even a Trumpcare program in effect and you already have said 23 million lost coverage. Too funny. The providers that have dropped coverage in many states did it while Obama was president. It was imploding on itself because it was based on the young people and welfare receipients buying coverage and that did not happen because they knew that you had to be treated by healthcare facilities even if you had no coverage. Why pay for it when you can get it for free. That was the Obamacare legacy. No one could afford the deductibles that you had to get the lower rate even if you took advantage of the government handout.

@bigjohndl: K. You do realize that the problems with the ACA are because it continued our broken system that allows corporations to gouge people, right? The ACA was nothing more than a bandaid, but it did allow people to survive who would have died without it. The US needs single payer healthcare, like every other first world country has. It is disturbing that we are still debating whether or not people should simply be allowed to die. With the ACA, the people you should be angry with are the insurance companies. Should I assume that you have excellent employer provided health care, and have never had to worry?

@Laifu1: I have my own paid healthcare structured the way I like it with a deductible that I like. I was one of those that did "keep my own insurance" because I did not have an employer being forced by the Obama presidency to supply healthcare for everyone. It actually made it easier for employers to drop healthcare and pay penalties instead of the mush higher cost they were going to have to pay on their existing policies. In my business, I raised everyone's pay to the amount it cost them for the first year premiums and let them shop for their own (or as in some cases, drop their insurance), or continue on my company policy. They all did good the first year until the rates started climbing as we knew they would. Government cannot manage anything at a lower cost.

The ACA had their "death panels" provision in there, also. When the cost is more than a person was contributing to society, care could be discontinued. That was something the dems put in there to help manage the costs.

The fact the Obama let people opt out and they could not get the millenials enrolled doomed the ACA in the first place. People realized that the medical field still had to treat them so why pay for something they could get for free.

I did my homework because I had always supplied top notch healthcare for my employee's, at no cost to them, before the ACA. But I could see that it would fail because of the way it was structured and opted to let the employee's get their own due to what would have severely cut into my profits. I am in business to make money, and not to pay over inflated prices when I don't have to.

Liberals hate that because they think that we should all be socialized and I not be allowed to make a profit.

Just consider. If we had healthcare like Canada or the UK, you would pay close to 45% of your personal income in taxes as they do. There is a big reason why people clamor to come to the US. The government has to get money to pay for what they give you somewhere.

1) death panels aren't real
2) Canadians don't want to come here
3) Neither do people from other first world countries. I see expats posting allthe time about how they are afraid to come here because of our healthcare problems.
4) No one thinks you shouldn't make money. Idiot. I have friends and family who run large, successful businesses.
5) You don't get that healthcare shouldn't be for profit
6) Your comment about the government is actually pretty funny. The government tried to privatize a lot of their departments, and it was a complete disaster. The only people worse than the government running things are government contractors and large businesses.
