I often feel that way. It is what I refer to as sacrificing my happiness on the altar of hers (my wife).
She will so often adamantly say that she just wants me to be happy. The reality is that she wants me to he happy within the confines of her own happiness.

@WellFrog: dont you get tired of sacrificing your happiness?

@JusUrGrlNxtDr: on a constant. It can lead to resentment, and does. It can lead to poor decisions, and does.

@WellFrog How did it go from "us" to me or you? whatever happened to compromise?

@JusUrGrlNxtDr: Thereby hangs a tale. Where does compromise go? That depends largely on the capacity of one or both to recognize and offer compromise. Like much in life when you find yourself in such a place, compromise can be a one way street.
