Oh boy, am I glad to hear you say that. I had to break myself of that. Please do as you've said. That is so important. I'm really happy for you. You deserve to put yourself first and no, that is not being selfish. That's taking good care of yourself and being wise. I'm proud of your decision.

You gotta take care of yourself first. It's ok to help other people but to make sure they're always happy or satisfied at your expense, if you don't give to you, will they?

Making others happy will only make you feel worse. It is not selfish to care for yourself.

I often feel that way. It is what I refer to as sacrificing my happiness on the altar of hers (my wife).

She will so often adamantly say that she just wants me to be happy. The reality is that she wants me to he happy within the confines of her own happiness.

You have to make yourself happy...to truly give happiness to those around you. :)

Same, I very much focus on others happiness above my own.

With me it's the same. I just put my focus on other people how to make THEM happy and satisfied and I always forget myself about it.
