schools from other countries have such strict dress codes

@Ross19: no uniform for us girls the boys had to wear uniform.We were supposed to wear sensible shoes but if we didn't no one bothered.We were not supposed to chew gum either and I did that all the time.

@tallpowerhouseblonde: Chewing gum I did that all the time. Wish I could have gone to school barefoot though. Feeling like I missed out.
Schools in South Africa and NZ encourage bare feet and I think our schools should too. So much healthier and comfortable.

@Ross19: bare feet is healthy yes.I was the girl that was blowing bubbles and popping/crackling my bubblegum while waiting for school assembly to start.700 students and teachers too .I never got told off.

@tallpowerhouseblonde: Such a rebel. Chewing gum repeatedly landed you a detention and we had a strict uniform. I find it interesting the girls had free choice but the boys didn't. Did you walk to school barefoot too?

@Ross19: yes I would often walk to and from school with my feet bare.I used to run track at school barefoot.
Some ancient rule about uniform meant us girls didn't require one.

@tallpowerhouseblonde: Interesting. Some schools do have weird rules especially here in Uk.
I used to do all pe barefoot in or out and I loved it.

@Ross19: way to go its harder for guys to ditch footware.

@tallpowerhouseblonde: Thanks. In school PE was barefoot as per the rules. However now I'm an adult I do find barefoot outside time to be quite a rare treat. Although I last went for a barefoot hike last Sunday.
