Keep Your Butts To Yourself! and other Peeves

What is your number one pet peeve?

Mines...rude ass peeps who throw their cigarette butts out while driving! Have you ever looked down at an intersection by those road/lane dividers? They are full of cigarette butts.
Do these people think the word is their ashtray? It's your decision if you want to be dumb enough to kill yourselves with cigarettes. But keep your butts to yourself!!

One solution is to have a deposit on them. Then people will keep them to return, or more likely they will be picked up and returned by poor people. Another solution is for the police to charge people with littering for throwing out butts. I'm good with both of these because I hate smokers.

We have a lot of wildfires during droughts and windy days here in Oklahoma and I agree with you on that. My ex brother-in-law chased a woman down till she pulled into a convenience store and chewed her out for throwing a butt out the window in a rural area, he saw the sparks flying (it was night time)...she apologized and said she wouldn't do it again...it was about a mile from where he lived and the year before a wildfire had come within a half-mile of his place.

When my daughter was about 10, we were in the shopping mall when someone threw their lit cigarette butt on the ground. She politely ran up to the man and said, "Um, excuse me sir, but you dropped your cigarette on the ground." The guy turned around and looked at her, embarrassed. He mumbled a thank you, picked it up, and put it in a nearby ash tray. Another man standing nearby, walked up to my daughter and said, "Great job, little girl. Adults could learn a lot from you."
Yeah, I think people need to be made aware of their actions and realize it's not just about doing "what you want", but that your actions affect other people.

Everyone's entitled to do what they want. But not at the expense of others. My aunty passed away from cancer due to second-hand smoke. My friend's apartment unit burned down due to a lit cigarette.
Do what you want, just do it in the privacy of your own home...with the windows closed. Be responsible for your own actions.
