@MightyAphrodite: Believe it or not, in certain situations this would be perfectly acceptable. Not everyone is out to hurt children, and not everyone considers an age difference to automatically imply that a child is going to be involved or hurt by the association. You've assumed both, and I don't know that it was necessary or even the thing to do, but that's fair, it's your reality.
