In the U.K.

People were their happiest in the world war. The world war !! I think this Is because communities would get together to share rations. People need to be together more. I mean that was when the first assessment of happiness in our country was done (so we don't know the level of happiness before) but all we know is ever since then, our happiness has been decreasing.

I doubt it, probably people were happiest in the 60s to the 90s when there were technology, advanced medication, new found gender equality but everything was still so much cheaper than it is now.
