Does this ever happen to anyone?

You do something embarrassing and your mother decides that she wants to tell anyone that comes over about said embarrassing thing?

Not really. Though once (and that stayed with me forever) she decided to tell everyone in an extended family gathering that I'm a "slow learner"...like herself, she added. I guess it was a mistake. But it really hurt me. I'm a pretty average person with no hobbies and talents. and YES I'm slow. It hurts.
