Why do I find it so hard / undesirable to tell my mum if I'm upset?

I just don't ever feel comfortable even though I know it'd be good for me if I told someone

Most mums are pretty smart.
They can tell just by looking at you how you feel within yourself.
My guess is that if you have something on your mind and it's seriously bugging you. She already knows.
