It's harder for hermaphrodites.

@Alex1610: On occasion.
Intersex (hermaphroditism) is a human condition@Alex1610:

@JoanieNewHampshire: Is it sometimes the first stage of transgender?
@Alex1610: thank you for asking! Not at all, intersex is the biological condition where a person actually has the genitialia of both male and female in some manner. From ambiguios to completely distinguishable external organs i.e. A vagina and penis. The testies my not have dropped or ovaries are present. Human anatomy begins developementaly as technically female. As the body developes. And the chromosomes instruct this developement a change from female to male occurs. Not all developement is 100%. In fact for as many people as there are on this earth there are variations of gender expression. Though the majority of people fit their sex gender stereotype many are close to but not quite their opposite gender expectation and many (trans) have crossed that line mentally.
@Alex1610: a trans person isn't the same as interesexed persons. In most cases a transperson has all the determining genitialia opposite of their gender identity. Trans persons vari in degree. From a feminine expressive male. We don't consider masculine expressive females trans until they admit themselves to being more male like then female like. Except in those gender fluid or bi gendered persons. Basically girls can still be girls being tomboys. But guys can't that's why we use that horrible word crossdresser to discribe them. Boys aren't allowed in our culture to be feminine, else they are thought gay or weak. A male who feels strongly identifying with females so much so that they must for mental health reason have gender reassignment surgeries is the other end of the spectrum, transexual. It's estimated that there are similar number of actual mtf and ftm transexuals. But the numbers of MtF individuals compared to FtM individuals who are non transitioning is far greater, because of the gender expression constraints placed on men and the lack of gender constraints placed on a female. It's so easy to say men can't wear skirts. Can you imagine life 100 years ago when women were expected to only wear dresses?

@JoanieNewHampshire: That's what I meant when I asked the trans question :)
@Alex1610: the human condition is never as black and white, or as pink and blue as most would have it. I actually love being bi gendered. I get the best of both advantages! 😉
