Is Valentine's Day only for lovers?

In Spain, it is. But I think in anglo-saxon world its meaning is more open. I mean, it's also for friendship. Am I right?

Here it`s become a Hallmark holiday. Extremely commercialized. I don`t get how I need one day to show my love. What about the other 364 days of the year?
