Should Indian/hindu women be allowed to work security/police?

what difference does it make what group they belong to? they have to be american citizens and they have to pass the same strict guidelines that any other american faces.

@annamarie65: you should read up on Sikh history and how the culture adapted into the US, there is a reason they've been granted special dispensation to wear their beards and turbans in the US Military

@Niburu: i have never in my life EVER seen an american wearing the beard or turbans of the indian/hindu's. the only entity i have ever seen wearing such things, are postal workers...nothing else.

@annamarie65: well Richmond, Virginia has a fairly good sized Indian population, so amongst them is a good amount of Sikhs

@Niburu: thats nice but the person is talking in general not just in one state...and it would seem very odd to me if any police department would ever allow the headwear or the beard that way. if they are caught doing so, they could be called out on it because it goes against the dress code of the police department.

that may change now with this president. i do hope, so he can put things back to the way they should be.

Why would it change? They have served with distinction everywhere they've been.

it would change because the police have a code and directives that are followed to the T and have been that way since the beginning, i personally think it is wrong to change those directives just to include a head wrap and a different way to wear a beard. if they cant wear the uniforms cap, then they are out of uniform in my opinion...it is just like the military...it wont be allowed there either.
