yes but is the 17 year old any good as an artist? i wouldn't write them off just because of their youth.. see how they are first?

@GoFish I've been organising a festival before and because I wanted to encourage everyone towards the arts, my work was drawn.
She's amazing.
But it's not my vibe. She's this beautiful introvert and awkward person, like most artists are at 17. She's got her journey.
Why should I carry this in my project, when I'm trying to make it work?
I don't get it.
I've failed multiple times, choosing the wrong partners.

It sounds like you really believe in her and want to encourage her, and that’s generous. But believing in someone doesn’t automatically mean you have to carry their work in your project, especially when you’re trying to make it viable.
You can respect her talent and her journey while still deciding it isn’t the right fit for this particular project. Maybe be honest and kind with her about that, rather than taking responsibility for her whole path. And after being let down by partners before, it makes sense to be careful about who you work with in the future.

I hear ya ! It sounds less about the young person and more about wanting your work and your invitation to be taken seriously and about learning not to agree when you mean no. I’m glad you let it out. 👍
