List some good life skills to have. My kids learned these while they lived with us. I’ll go first.

-Drive a car with a clutch, stick shift, three on the tree if available to you.
-Use a Rand McNally Atlas on a car trip.
-Grill a steak to medium rare on a charcoal grill.
-Properly wash a car in your driveway.
-Fishing.
-Crossword puzzles.
-Prepare meals.

If you can afford it and in correct region
-Snow skiing
-Surfing

There’s more, but I have to go.

That’s a pretty fair list except of course the med rare steak. 😯

@Unefilletrescurieuse How about, “grill a good steak”?
Ride a bike for fun
Most of these are useless. I would add:

Set up a desktop computer with monitor, keyboard, mouse, and printer and connect to internet

Locate and flip a tripped breaker

Plunge a toilet

Know where clean outs are

Know how to shut off home electricity, water, and gas

Pump up a tire

@LeopoldBloom Your list is good. More basic.
Calling my list useless isn’t kind nor conducive to conversation.

I would add tying a tie.
Knowing which silverware to use at a formal dinner.
How to shine your shoes.
Do their own laundry
Make their own bed
Teach them about budgeting and how to save money
How to make a camp fire
First aid /cpr
How to be a decent person
Common courtesy
Manners
And last but not least how to throw down in a mosh pit
