You all won't believe yesterday i met someone from a country I knew nothing about. What do you feel?

So yesterday on Saturday in UB City mall of our city Bangalore in India, i literally talked with this man from the African country Cameroon for real. Yeah I just said him hello and he responded and we talked a bit. I asked which country he is from and he said Cameroon. I never heard of it so I asked him whether it's in Africa and he said yes and that it's a Central African country. Yeah I am not saying it was a super long interaction. It was mostly hello how are you, where are you from, asking names and a bit of travel stories. He is a tourist passing through but it felt crazy to talk with someone from a country i never heard of or only vaguely heard of. He was a very chill dude tho.

But the most solid interaction was with this expat woman from Spain in O'Fufu Cafe of St Marks Road. Yeah we socialized. You all won't believe she validated it and she said she appreciated it that I said her hello because I started the line saying "Just thought of saying you a hello as I am waiting for my coffee" while seated nearby to her. We started talking and she was so bubbly. She is from Madrid by the way who works in IR(International Relations) who came to Bangalore for a work assignment and was leaving soon as it's done and i also shared about my MBA being done. She also engaged asking whether I am from Bangalore and I said yes but originally from Bengal living here since 2008. As she is leaving soon, I kept the conversation mostly to travel and asked her to suggest some cool places to visit in Spain. She suggested Barcelona, Madrid and this unknown sounding name Nerja.

I also asked her the best food there and she said there are several famous Mediterranean dishes. I was surprised and literally asked her whether Spain is a Mediterranean country and she said yes it is. Yeah I heard about Mediterranean sea but I didn't know fully that Spain is there too and only thought it was an European country. Don't judge me I was born in India and grew up amongst Indians and didn't go to Spain or talk with many Spanish people until recently so I didn't know fully but I learned something new. I then complimented a bit saying Spanish sounds like a beautiful language and she thanked me and said it is and then shared that there is actually a Spanish language institute in Delhi and she thinks they probably teaches Spanish online too so I can learn it there. I also said her that the only 2 Spanish words I know are Hola and Gracias and laughed and she laughed too saying it's okay. My coffee arrived and i wished her a great day.
