Ask her when she is going to start paying rent.
Dannydesigns · 26-30, M
@Adrift She probably should but he can ask her that after I move out

Tell him. And say the solutions you see

A serious conversation is in order.

I feel for you. That's an akward situation. Are there specific changes that could be made on their part that would make you feel better? Maybe ask her not to change things around ...sounds like the roommate needs a heads up...and it will be akward for a while...🫂

@Mindful Thank you. It feels kind of petty but I like privacy sometimes and she’s made it so my bedroom is the only place I get that. She cooks for herself when I’m not home using food I bought and doesn’t clean well. I don’t really want to make an issue out of little things because yeah awkward. I really should just move out

@Dannydesigns I have a friend that wants to move in with us but she's a heavy smoker and of course want to do things her way with our time and space. I wish it could work out but it's too uncomfortable for us. But the smoke is the real reason. I'm allergic and when we're not around she smokes on our back patio next to the house and she smells like smoke. If I were not highly allergic id maybe let it work out but. Also my husband doesn't like smoke at all either. So I had to have that awkward conversation with her, that no we can't live together for those reasons.
How serious are they?

@Dannydesigns Question, why isn’t it comfortable for you?
Dannydesigns · 26-30, M
@InterdimensionalSideEye Ok, more little things. The big television is controlled by her mostly so I don’t even use the living room much anymore. She’s often using the only bathroom when I need to get going for work or something. She’s left the front door unlocked a couple times. Like I said she’s generally pleasant but I like space sometimes
@Dannydesigns urgh, I understand. Talk to your friend, it may not be crossing his boundaries but it’s crossing yours.
