Roommate issues

He’s been my roommate for two years but I’ve known him for a long time because he was a high school friend of my brother. It’s gone ok but since he got his latest girlfriend she’s basically moved in. She has kind of taken over the place and it just isn’t comfortable for me. I can afford to get a place of my own and I need to do that but he might have a problem because he struggles to pay half the rent and she doesn’t have a job

I feel for you. That's an akward situation. Are there specific changes that could be made on their part that would make you feel better? Maybe ask her not to change things around ...sounds like the roommate needs a heads up...and it will be akward for a while...🫂

@Mindful Thank you. It feels kind of petty but I like privacy sometimes and she’s made it so my bedroom is the only place I get that. She cooks for herself when I’m not home using food I bought and doesn’t clean well. I don’t really want to make an issue out of little things because yeah awkward. I really should just move out
