So had some socializing yesterday and today. What do you feel?
So yesterday in Lavelle road of our city Bangalore in India, I literally initiated conversation with this expat woman from Denmark. Yeah it was one of my best interaction of yesterday. When I said her that I am just saying hello to new people, she actually said for real "Oh that's really sweet." She is actually doing an internship for 6 months and she actually is working for the Danish embassy. She is definitely around my age like 24-27 age range and I am 25. She said it's already been 2 months for her here. I even said her sorry if in case I interrupted her but she literally said "No that's okay. I like talking to new people". She also asked me whether I am a local and i said that I am basically from Bengali state but living in Bangalore since 2008 and she was like wow. She also asked me whether I came here for studies but I said that my father got transferred and i also mentioned I was only 7 years old and now I am 25 and she said oh wow you grew up here basically and i laughed and said yeah I am a grown man now haha. She was very pretty. Yeah I chickened out again to ask her Instagram tho but I loved her energy.
Then today I again went to Kammanahalli area of our city which is North East part and cosmopolitan too with people from Africa, Middle East and other Asian countries. So in this Fuku Cafe I initiated with a group of 4 Arab men. When I asked which country they are from, they said Sudan. It was good interaction, we asked names, they said they are Masters students and I said I am done with my MBA and they 4 laughed as I talked with them. This is my first time talking to someone from Sudan. Even though this YouTuber named Passenger Paramvir in his South Sudan vlogs explained that most people in South Sudan are black Africans whereas in Sudan are mostly Arabic, today I was happy to see that right in front of me by socializing with Arabic men from Sudan. Made me feel worldly and cool.
But you know what's the most unexpected? I talked with 2 American women in the same Cafe right after talking with those Sudanese men while i was seated at a table close enough to theirs. Yeah they are both from the US. One of them is an expat working here in the city and another one is a tourist who came to visit her friend. This felt unexpected as I didn't expect to meet Westerners in Kammanahalli as I mostly meet them in Central Bangalore areas and in my previous Kammanahalli visits I mostly met expats from the MENA(Middle East and North Africa) region, sometimes Korea and last week a Thai expat but didn't meet Westerners there. Very bubbly women tho. You all won't believe they actually asked me where I am from even though in Central Bangalore areas many expats ask me whether I am from Bangalore or a local. I said them too that I am from Bengal but living in Bangalore since 2008 and they literally said they have been to Bengal and loved it. Very talkative women. It was a big highlight of the day for me that's why. I ordered an iced Americano and after these both international interactions, it felt as if I am on some holiday or vacation as the outdoor seating of the Cafe gave a resort-like vibe haha.
