Woah you all won't believe how unexpected and crazy my socializing went today. Do you agree too?

So today I didn't go to my usual Central areas of Bangalore in India like UB city mall or Lavelle Road or Church Street but to Kammanahalli, HRBR Layout and Kalyan Nagar which are in North East part of Bangalore. These areas are known to be cosmopolitan too with expats from African nations, the Middle East and Korea. But my most unexpected interaction was with this expat woman from Thailand while exploring Kammanahalli near A Hole in the wall Cafe. She was so damn bubbly and asked me to guess her country. At first I guessed North East India and then I guessed South Korea and then she said she is from Thailand. She is a student learning English so yeah that's why she is here. We talked a lot. She asked whether I am a full local to Bangalore and I said not fully as i am from West Bengal but living in Bangalore since 2008 and she laughed and said Wow you are a local only then by now and I said yeah crazy how I was 7 when I came to Bangalore and now I am 25 and she laughed and said yeah. We asked each other's names and I also said her how it's my first time talking to a Thai person. Honestly for those couple of minutes it felt as if I was in Bangkok or Pattaya and not in Bangalore. Very unexpected as in my previous Kammanahalli visits, most of my international interactions were with men. Shame i couldn't ask her Instagram.

But here is another crazy interaction which was unexpected. In the Hole in The wall Cafe, I ordered a hot cocoa. The staff just casually started talking to me. He is also young and we are both from Siliguri in West Bengal so yeah it made it an instant connection. Unlike the Lavelle road or Central areas Cafes where staffs are often more transactional, Kammanahalli has a more laidback feeling. He also asked me whether I know Nepali as he said he is from Nepali origin but born in Siliguri but I said I don't and only know Bengali and he said he also knows Bengali. He then asked me whether I am working or studying and I said I completely MBA quite recently. He then also talked how he knows some people who are finding it hard to get a job too in the country even with degrees and he and they feels how the Indian education system is a big scam and that's why plenty move abroad for high paying jobs. Also he said how he still loves Bangalore because of the weather and finds it better than the other Indian cities. He also then asked how old am I and i said 25 to which he said "You are a young boiii" and laughed a bit. Felt validating honestly after seeing how internet tries to call anyone 25+ as old. Overall a great refreshing interaction. I often doubt myself whether I am being strange by interacting with strangers but after that staff talked to me like that, it made me feel better.

Other than these, in a Cafe named Sharetea which is popular for its varieties of tea, I initiated conversations with a group of 3 Korean women while I was seated at a table close to their table and having my tea and just said them hello. Yeah I initiated but there seemed to be a slight awkward moment when I said I am just saying Hi to new people but they were kinda paused but when I was showing it with a wave that's when they said hello. I asked which country they are from and they said Korea. But yeah eventually i wished them a great day and said them that I just meant to say hello and they too said hello with a bit of a laugh and I continued having my tea. I also interacted with a guy from Egypt in HRBR Layout. It felt like a crazy thing. Just like how many travel vloggers show, i interacted with him, talked a bit, asked which country he is from, exchanged names, that he is an University student and then had a handshake and wished each other a great day. I also saw a Middle eastern man in Thobe and said him hello and he said hello back too but yeah it happened in Raidan restaurant. I also talked with an Indian woman in a Cafe near CMR University and is about to complete her Master's and it felt like a decent interaction. So yeah a pretty social day in a different part of the city
