My life summed up
My life has taken me places I never imagined. I was married for 13 years and had a family and a life I once thought would last forever. Then drugs, alcohol, bad decisions, divorce, and the consequences that followed changed everything.
Since 2020, I’ve spent years trying to rebuild myself. I’ve experienced loss, loneliness, family estrangement, recovery, instability, and periods where I honestly wondered what the point of my life was. I’ve gone from having people around me to spending much of my life alone.
I’m grateful to still be here, but surviving and actually living are two different things. I’m tired of feeling stuck, bored, lonely, and disconnected from the world around me. I miss having someone to love. I miss having a family. I miss feeling like I belong somewhere.
But somewhere underneath all of that, I still have hope. I still want a fresh start. I still want love, meaningful relationships, independence, adventure, and something to look forward to. I don’t know what the next chapter of my life will look like, but I know I don’t want the rest of my story to be defined by the worst things I’ve done or the things I’ve lost.
I’m still here. I’m still trying. And maybe that means there’s still a life worth building.
