In all things we can only project ourselves.

Positivity is open to anything. With love it requires nothing being self sufficient. This creates acceptance that coexists with differences.

Negativity is closed to things. Without love it needs to be validated by the world. This creates standards that impose differences.

Which projection are you?

@GoFish That vast majority of us are negative. The truly positive can see how that’s a good thing. The falsely positive will explain why it’s a bad thing.

I am both.

But beyond the obvious extremes, I think it is subjective. For instance, a realism or stoicism could be viewed as negativity by a Pollyanna mindset.

@Magenta Yes. I think we are all a bit of both. But whatever you project is the stronger of the two.

Now is it subjective? To almost everyone, it is. Here’s how I see it though. Subjectively means there’s more than one way to see something. I believe positivity, when it’s true, is not open to interpretation. It’s not subjective. It’s simply adding to what is.

Negativity takes away from what is which all subjectivity does. In these cases you’re not looking at something for what it is. You’ve warped it. Corrupted it. Changed it into whatever you prefer it to be. Whatever you’ve interpreted. I don’t care how positive someone claims to be while doing this. I don’t think it’s true.
