Damn can't believe yesterday it's been 2 years already since that sad day. What do you feel?
So yesterday was 18th September which was a very sad day for me 2 years ago. I will share why. So as you all know I often mentioned being extremely shy near girls and avoided talking to them due to low self-esteem from roughly age 11 to 22(with it being complete avoidance at age 13 to 21) after so much bullying in school days but on 13th August 2024, when I entered my 2nd year of MBA at the age of 23, I finally overcome that shyness but still I was mostly practicing my confidence by approaching women who were my MBA juniors and my year non-classmates as my female classmates already had a pre-conceived notions about me that I was the quiet shy dude of the class. So yeah on that day I approached this woman Dimple for the first time on my own without anyone's help which felt like such a milestone for me. She was my junior in 1st year and i started talking to her in our campus Cafeteria. I found her special as she was soft spoken and really cute.
She is Punjabi but from the Rajasthan City Jaipur who came to Bangalore for her studies whereas I am Bengali from Siliguri in West Bengal living in the city Bangalore in India since 2008. I got attached to quickly to her as it was still getting used to "talking to women" after years of avoidance. So yeah I would approach her twice or even thrice in the Cafeteria whenever I saw her(we weren't sharing classes as she was a year my junior). So yeah we connected on Instagram too. We talked in person for 10-11 days in campus but then I had to go to my hometown Siliguri for my grandpa's 1st death anniversary. But on 10th September 2024, I remember Dimple suddenly unfollowed me on Instagram. That broke me. Yeah I didn't have experience with this and it was basically a first time for me at 23 so yeah tears came in my eyes. I started asking everyone like my male classmates, my closest friend Saishyam and even ChatGPT about this. I felt stuck as I was in Siliguri and couldn't clarify things in person and had 7 more days left till I return back to Bangalore.
So Saishyam and ChatGPT both suggested me to try talking to her in person to see if there was any misunderstanding. I was counting every day until my return day to Bangalore and I was feeling very restless in Siliguri and wanted to go back to Bangalore asap to return to campus. On 18th September 2024, i finally returned back to campus in Bangalore and tried talking to her but she was avoiding me and eventually said me "I don't want to talk to you anymore". I asked her why and what did I do and she said "You didn't do anything. I just don't want to talk anymore. It's just my personal choice". After that I just broken down. I remember trying to hold my tears. It was a very sad and heavy day for me. I agree I got too attached to her but I am a late bloomer so that's why I ended up being that way as I didn't talk to girls for so long. Anyways it was a great learning lesson I guess and now at 25 I am much more confident and much less clingy.
