So I explored a completely different area of our city. What do you feel about it?
So usually i post about going to the more upscale areas of our city Bangalore in India like UB City mall, Lavelle Road, Church Street, Indiranagar etc which are more Central in the city but today I visited Kammanahalli, HRBR Layout and Kalyan Nagar which are in the North East part of Bangalore. I was curious because I heard these areas are home to expats from African countries, the Middle East and South Korea. The area has many coffee houses, lots of Arabic restaurants, Korean marts and Korean restaurants. Today tho unlike my Central Bangalore outings where I socialize more with women, I mostly socialized with male expats. So at first i entered this authentic Korean restaurants which are owned by actual Korean expats. Yeah I saw the owners who are a Korean family and talked to them and even asking where they are from and they said Korea. I said them I am new in the area and just exploring around. Sadly couldn't eat there as it was quite expensive. Then later in a Cafe in Kammanahalli, I literally spoke with a Black man from the UK. Yeah he is a traveler and we socialized quite a lot. I didn't expect to find a westerner there as many sites including AI said Kammanahalli mainly has foreigners from African nations and the Middle East. It was great to bump into a Brit traveller there. My first time talking to a black person from the UK.
Then I had the Saudi dish Chicken Kabsa for lunch for the first time. I was feeling so much like a tourist in the area than my usual Central Bangalore areas even though I lived in Bangalore since 2008 as a Bengali person. Then later l talked with a few women in Cafes who are from the North East Indian states like Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland and I mentioned my hometown Siliguri as it's the gateway to the North East. But then the craziest interaction happened. In this Cafe named Roastery Coffee in HRBR Layout i talked with 2 men from Egypt for real. That was the most solid interaction I had. They both just completed their Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) so yeah I am 25 and they are around my age too. We had a long conversation. This was my first time talking to an Egyptian expat. They are living in Bangalore for 6 years but I said them that I got them beaten as I live here since 2008 haha. I also asked them to suggest me some food from their country. Overall a great interaction hehe. Then later I had a brief interaction on the streets there with a man from the African country Chad. He was in a traditional outfit too. It was more brief than the other ones but yeah it was cool to meet someone from a country which isn't very known here. Hope it was longer. It was socially rich day even without talking to many women honestly.
