Has anyone here quit smoking who was REALLY addicted to cigarettes? Please tell me your experience...
I really want to quit smoking for my health, but I LOVE smoking, like I can't even explain how much. I quit drinking around 9-10 months ago, but that was a lot easier than this will be. I started smoking when I was 13 years old, so I find it difficult to even really remember a time without cigarettes in my life, and nothing about it bothers me. I even like the scent of cigarettes. I know that some people get waaay more addicted to smoking than others, like for my mother it was practically easy to quit, whereas for my stepfather it was nearly impossible. I want to hear from other people who could also not imagine life without cigarettes before they quit, and I want to know how long it took them before they could focus on anything again, even something like playing a video game, because I know that I won't be able to do ANYTHING at first when I quit. I am so nervous about it because if I try, I want it to last. I don't want to go back and forth for years. I don't want advice from anyone who could just move on and live their life normally when they quit because that doesn't resonate with me at all. 😅
