Woah I finally found out where she is from plus i met a Chilean person for the first time today.
So 2 weeks ago in Koramangala area of our city Bangalore in India, I was exploring the area and saw this Thai style restaurant named Thai Basil. I wanted to eat there but had less budget to eat that day but I saw the hostess(a woman in traditional Thai dress who is having a register on her table). She welcomed me which is a regular part of her job to customers but I was really curious whether she is a Thai expat or a woman from the North East part of India but as I didn't eat there that day, I couldn't talk to her. But today I went there and had a yummy pad Thai noodles finally for the first time and while leaving I said that hostess that the food is amazing and she thanked me and I talked a bit about the restaurant and how authentic the restaurant food is and eventually asked her where she is from and she said that she is from the Arunachal Pradesh state, which is one of the North East states of India and i immediately said my hometown is Siliguri which she recognized and said ohh nice because Siliguri is the gateway to North East. I eventually wished her a great day and left as she was in work mode and she too thanked me. Very cute and soft spoken woman tho hehe.
Later in St Marks Road of our city close to UB City mall, I initiated conversations with a pair of women. One of them is literally from Chile and the other one is from Australia. Yeah the Chilean one was bubbly. She is an expat working for an University. I was so amazed that immediately after she said she is from Chile, i responded "Ohh wow Chile? That's so cool. This is literally my first time talking to someone from Chile" and she responded "Oh wow really?" I even asked the other woman whether she is from Chile too but she smiled and said "No. I am from Australia". I am 25 and the Chilean woman was mostly somewhere in her 30s and the Australian one was even older probably around 50 or something. Eventually after an energetic interaction, the Australian woman said that she had to catch a flight tonight so we have to go but it was nice talking to you and i wished her a great day and happy journey too. I wish it happened in a Cafe or something tho. I would have loved to learn more about Chile and their culture from her.
