They just called Slavik and he panicked and was like I don't know anything about this and hung up the phone. 🤣

There was a law that I was allowed to not renew my permit during the war, but apparently they changed it a while ago so that everyone had to come get it renewed again, and I'm a month late.

It would be fine if I could do it, I'd just have to pay a fine for being late, but I still can't go. My permit is based on my marriage, so Slavik has to be there, and it's still too dangerous for him to travel due to conscription. 😩

@Nightwings So why would there be such a law against EU countries? That really doesn't make any sense to me. Ukraine wants to be apart of the EU. 🤷🏻‍♂

@DeWayfarer Right so there is no problem with people from EU countries living here, it's only because I haven't renewed my permit, and they want me to go renew it. I live here on a temporary permit on the basis of my marriage, and it needs to be renewed once a year, but then they made a law so that I didn't have to renew it during the war. They then changed that law, which is why I have to go renew it again now anyways.

@CrazyMusicLover It is what it is, if I end up getting deported in the end of all this it's probably only going to be a couple years, so then it's not like I'd never see Slavik again. But it is super annoying to have zero certaincy about the future ever. /=

@NudasPriest Yeah one can always hope. I wonder what they do when someone's husband is actually gone fighting in the east, I guess then they discuss and take things from there...
