Something very sweet that my vendors do is that they will start doing something alongside me as they see me do it

It's a wordless thing.

It's so lovely.

I never expected this for myself, but I am becoming a leader.

I am an employee and I enact the wishes of the board... But I suggest things, they discuss and typically agree (or improve upon my idea), and I get to move forward with it.

I always fancied myself a follower.

But I think I needed time to build the skills to become a benevolent leader, while also being a cheerleader for and helping my people. 💙

I frickin love my job and I can't believe my luck in being here. It is really important and a beautiful life.
