I always feel a bit guilty about the relief I get when my son goes back to school, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'm looking forward to many walks on the beach and getting caught up with life a bit.

I will let this winter come without reluctance. I was strong and patient and there's no sense in rushing when I need a bit of rest anyway.

I have a few small projects in mind to keep me happy. Set up a kinda home gym so I can work on getting more strength back.

It has been quite a decade.

Time to chill out.

Whats the coolest thing you've found on the beach during a walk

@EldritchFox how much crafting have you done with such things?

Or how many piles of sea trinkets do you have?
@lovingdead I would have to take you on a tour of the house. And unload a few small totes. I picked up a lot in our travels and I always find special stuff on beach walks. The sea glass I'm trying to figure out what to do with. The four leaf clovers I pressed and made into pendants with resin. There's feathers, rocks, shells, coral, sponges, painted leaves, tree branches I'm turning into walking sticks. I've made dreamcatchers out of some.

This winter I'm going to start doing copper electroplating. I want to do some leaves and shells. Could be really cool!

Yeah, you can enjoy the area being free of at least some of the tourists. 🙂
Exhaling is a beautiful thing

ah... I will spend the winter up the mountain home with the cats.
I am looking forward to it :)...

happy for you too.. all the little actions and also the decision to chill out.

@EldritchFox it is, and it also allows me for much integration... and I do work from there too, just on my pace and then I have these hikes and the nature and all... the necessities actually make my life better even if I complain, to go cut wood, to make fire, to cook on the stove, to fetch the water from the cistern, to feed the cats.. They make me happier. The aircon luxury and good furniture of course are some luxuries to be missed..
The need to walk even further until the library if I want a work office environment at days..

Just the fact that in order to get cookies I need a 25min hike and then another 40 min to go back says a lot ..the quiet... showering naked under the rain and none around... and then I will take my drum there now. I plan on adding a daily practice of it, or few times a week..:)

And I will try to work with commissions, let's see what may happen.

What are your projects about...?
@Boeing that sounds so beautiful sweet friend. So peaceful and deliberate to yourself to be accountable for yourself. What an amazing plan.

I have to figure out how I have injured my back for starters. I'm going to begin a little project to get to know my crows. Maybe get closer to them and understand better. And I am gathering supplies to do copper electromagnetic plating for leaves, acorns, shells and things, maybe make some jewels to sell but enjoy the art/science of it. I am set up to start writing comfortably though I have so many ideas to work through.

Mostly I just need to take care of myself slowly. Methodically start some new habits that I won't rush out of because I'm needed as a Mom. I have been sad and complaining for many years now. I want to let that go. This may be the last bit before we move far away.. so I'd like to make peace, have my fill and rest before life moves on to better things 🖤
