Btw you won't believe I saw that same man again yesterday. What do you feel about it honestly?

So 2 weeks ago, i actually posted on here that I bumped into this woman Anagha in Vittal Mallya Road close to UB City mall of our city Bangalore in India and she was my classmate during my undergrad years in engineering. Yeah I used to be shy during those days in college so never talked to her in class so she was just like a neutral classmate to me. She is from Channapatna in Karnataka state of India and I am Bengali from Siliguri in West Bengal state of India living in Bangalore since 2008 and we are both 25 now. So that day she was with 2 of her female friends and I confidently initiated a conversation with her and she responded warmly. I said "hey Anagha, remember we were classmates in engineering?" And she remembered me and said yeah I remember and asked me how have I been. So we talked for a while but something happened which unsettled me.

An older middle aged man mostly around his 50s walking behind them suddenly stopped walking completely and locked his eyes into me and seemed to make an intimidating expression almost immediately when I was talking to her which unsettled me. Yeah he suddenly stopped walking instead of just glancing and continuing to walk and just looked his eyes at me in a quite angry intimidating expression when I was talking to her. So I disengaged the conversation saying her Have a great day and walked away as I was worried that what if he starts shouting at me and confronts me. I was really wondering who he might have been. Whether he was her guardian like her dad or uncle or a random bystander or someone else. The thought that whether he is probably her dad or uncle came in my mind because it's possible that some more protective dad or male guardian might defensively do it if he saw a man approaching his daughter or nephew in front of him. I get plenty of stares from many bystanders when I initiate with women in Cafes, bookstores etc but they are usually brief neutral stares and nothing like this.

But yesterday after exiting UB City when I was walking on Vittal Mallya road, I saw that same man again on those same sidewalks. And he was all alone. Anagha was nowhere around yesterday. He was just walking all alone actually towards the gas station next to UB City. So I am wondering who he is and why he did that. Whether he was really someone accompanying Anagha that day or just some local man in that area who did that when he saw me initiating with her on that sidewalk. This ambiguity is what confusing me. I wonder whether I got a small glimpse of the moral policing behavior from him which some Indians online talk about where some moral policing older men or vigilante groups like Bajrang Dal harasses and polices couples and young adults in mixed gender pairs in parks especially in some smaller Indian cities or some conservative pockets for ruining the morality and culture. Again I am not sure why that stare happened but it was unsettling. He wasn't a cop either and not any security guard as he was in a civilian dress plus it was a public sidewalk where I initiated so there was no venue reputation thing like some staffs in bars worry about. What do you feel?
