So I went to this Cafe after such a long time and I loved it. What do you feel about it?
So I went to Isobel Coffee House in Lavelle Road of our city Bangalore in India after literally a 6 months gap. Yeah I used to frequently visit that Cafe months ago but recently I didn't. So it isn't just a Cafe. That's the place where there is this cute barista(let's call her B) from Bhutan. Many of the staffs are from North East side of India. As I was a regular customer going there once every week, B used to smile and talk and ask how are you so I eventually one day talked to her, said my hometown is in Siliguri in West Bengal (the gateway to North East and Bhutan). Since then whenever I visited, this female cashier used to teasingly say that B was missing me. B also used to ask me whether I visited Siliguri recently, ask me how are you doing, sometimes even jokingly say that I never noticed her in Vittal Mallya road and also once after she asked me how are you, i asked her how are you too and she said I am pretty. She is mostly in her early 20s and I am 25.
So for 6 months I didn't visit the Cafes but 2 weeks ago, I did initiate with her in Lavelle Road after her shift was done at 5 pm and I mentioned it's been a long time since I have visited the cafe and she even asked me why didn't I visit. So today I finally visited it. And you all won't believe they still remembered me even though those days I was cleanshaved and nowadays I am growing a beard and currently having heavy stubble. Not only B but that another female staff too smiled who is from Darjeeling basically even after 6 months and they welcomed me for real. B asked me how am I doing and that it's been a long time too since I bought anything from there and also as I was heavily breathing after long walks today, she asked me what happened and whether I am tired. Today was also my first Iced Americano from that particular Cafe as my previous orders were mostly Frappes.
Btw while I was waiting for my coffee, B being the barista was also standing near the counter with her tray waiting for the glass of Americano and I literally saw her glancing at me with a smile and I was blushing for real and that made her and that other female staff laugh. So yeah it felt so good to go there after such a long time. Also don't misunderstand this post as anything romantic as I am not claiming anything like that as I just enjoy the vibe of the cafe and how B talks to me and just the playful vibe of the Cafe. It just felt good as my MBA is recently done and I don't have a steady peer environment so that playful vibe reminded me of those MBA classroom days in a subtle way. Also as B is from Bhutan, the other staffs are from Darjeeling or North East, it almost feels as if I am teleported to my hometown Siliguri for a while even though i am physically in Bangalore itself. Even the sugarfree iced Americano felt so amazing haha. I would visit it again probably next weekend.
