Sometimes I Wake Up (another thing stuck in the Draft file)
by: Rob Paquin
I sleep inside this dream of mine
This life I think ain’t worth living
And then I see a smiling face
That makes me feel like giving
How often do I tell myself
That I’m simply not my person
When in fact beyond the act
There are things so much worse than
But anyway as I delay
The thoughts of my own forgiveness
I speed along my darkest songs
And shed off all the blissness
But her I am, a steady man
Who knows somehow he’s due
Of all the things this life can bring
I wish this life brings me to you.
But in the end if it doesn’t
Then I know that’s not the way
For me to find my happiness
Before my judgement day
And I will go on living
I will make my stands
And life my life doing what is right
Without too many plans.
Peace,
