My life as sick-retired

In May 2025 I finally got sick-retired because of my permanent disability that took 34 years to discover and after 22 years of meaningless looking for a job. Now at the age of 57 I am finally retired for good and now the life has opened the door to freedom. I dont care about a job anymore, I can do what I want. I dont need to go up early in the morning and get stucked for hours in traffic-jams just to arrive too late to the job. I have eternal with "vacation" and dont need to look in the agenda to plan it.

My ability to move could be much better. What if I had an electric three.wheeler, then I could take the bike downtown, get fresh air and save countless with money. Now I have just started to save money to an electric bike but it will take many months before I can buy one.

You've hit on the most precious part of it all - the freedom to be who and what you want.

@Ontheroad yes but for some things my age and disability prevents me from

@SwedishGuy I get that. The last 6 years for me (I'm 78) have been physically hard on me - I can no longer do what I once could or what I still want to do.

However, being retired gives me the option of developing other pursuits I can pour myself into.
