Why does this actress remind me of this woman who was my classmate?
So I might have posted about this Indian reality stunt show Khatron Ke Khiladi season 15 which is hosted by the Bollywood director Rohit Shetty where the contestants do scary and risky stunts. Most contestants are typically celebrities like TV actors, influencers, singers etc and the show is shot in Cape Town, South Africa. But yeah this particular contestant Farhana Bhatt who is an Indian actress caught my eyes. She is honestly very pretty and I think I got a mild celebrity crush on her haha. She is 29 and I am 25. The way she speaks in Hindi and all also reminds me of this woman Shivangini who was my classmate during my MBA especially 1st year. So Shivangini was another female classmate who at times tried to talk to me but I was still shy. Yeah even though Anshika was my main crush and this woman Soniya was a platonic female friend, Shivangini was different. She during 1st sem even said me to talk more as it will help in the corporate world. She would also ask my male classmates why didn't I talk to her and would sometimes say me Hi but yeah we weren't close and she mostly stuck to others who were talking. She is also about 25-26 now.
So yeah when I am seeing Farhana in the show, she reminds me of Shivangini so much. Both are North Indians too but Farhana is from the state Jammu and Kashmir whereas Shivangini was born in UP State but mostly lived in the city Kolkata and then came to Bangalore for her higher studies whereas I am from Siliguri in West Bengal living in Bangalore since many years. So Shivangini was confident and pretty vocal about many things and even about boring lectures or Boring professors and even whispering the Hindi swear word "Madarchod" when a guest lecture was being prolonged. It's a shame that I wasn't confident enough to talk to her. She often asked my male friends why I didn't talk and she made some effort saying me Hi but I was shy. Similarly Farhana is very vocal in the show too in Hindi and also she was also readily complaining about things but she is also very confident and a strong contestant who does the stunts well. So yeah I wish I was in the same environment as her as she is beautiful, confident and strong at the same time.
It's a shame that unlike with Anshika with whom I finally talked during our convocation 9 months ago and called cute, I couldn't surprise Shivangini with my new confidence simply because she wasn't there during it. Yeah she didn't attend it so my chance of talking to her wasn't there. She wasn't really a crush or friend and was just a female classmate who sometimes tried to talk to me but yeah seeing Farhana now reminds me of her and miss that steady peer environment, those complains, that feeling of being in the same boat and relating to those complaints. Farhana and the other contestants know that they are going through the same struggles of doing scary stunts and similar in my MBA, me, Shivangini, Anshika, Soniya and other classmates were going through the same academic struggles, long lectures etc. I miss it now.
