Today was one of my very shocking bump-in with someone for real. What do you feel about it?
So today near Lavonne Cafe in St Marks Road of our city Bangalore in India which is close to UB City mall and Lavelle road, I literally bumped into this German expat woman with whom I already had 2 conversations but they were nearly a year ago(9-10 months ago to be exact). Yeah I didn't even recognize her at first and just said her Hi thinking she is a new person I am meeting but you all won't believe she recognized me for real. Yeah she said we already talked months ago and she remembered that we talked in this same area and then I also recognized who is she. She literally asked me how have I been. I said her I have been okay and that I am done with my MBA now and she congratulated me and i asked her whether she is still working in the same job here in Bangalore and she said yes and that she is working for the German government here. But yeah as we were about to have more conversation, her uber arrived. She literally said "I am so sorry actually my uber just arrived. It was nice to meet you". I said "Okay have a great day" and I initiated a handshake but as her hands were fully occupied- one with some papers and another with a glass of coffee, she showed that her hands are occupied and said sorry again about it and i wished her a great day eventually. Damn I could have tried asking her Instagram this time if the interaction could go longer and if the uber hadnt arrived.
It felt crazy how she recognized my face even after 9-10 months for real even though I was clean shaved at the time and now I have a stubble for real. It's also crazy that when I first time approached her, she was super new to Bangalore and just arrived hours ago and today she was a relatively long-term expat in the city. She is quite soft-spoken too and I find it really cute. I am 25 and she is also mostly around my age. Other than her, I again bumped into the New Zealand expat woman today for the third time. The first time we met was 2 weeks ago and it was a great interaction in Church Street. 2nd time was last week Monday and we again talked and she recognized me and asked me how was i. Then again after 8-9 days I happened to bump into her but this time in the MG Road metro station in Church Street. She works in Deccan Herald which is close to Church Street and we use the same metro line so yeah we happened to bump into each other. I again said her Hi and she smiled and recognized me. She also said Hi back. I then laughed and said "it's crazy how again we met" and she also said "Yeah it's crazy" with a light laugh. But as I asked her how was her day and she answered, the metro came so yeah she was getting into the ladies-only coach of the metro so I ended the interaction saying "Okay have a great day" and she said you too and I got into another metro coach while she got into her coach.
