Roommate is going to the casino today
He found out my plans were canceled today so he invited me along, but I don't want to go. There's nothing fun for me there.
Plus, last night he was drinking and let it slip that his mother "frequently goes to the well" of me apparently being a bad roommate who doesn't pay my half of anything. And it makes me wonder....who is giving her that idea??🤔🤔🤔
I pay my half of everything, always have since we began dating 5 years ago. There have been times when one of us has come up short on our half of the extremely obscene rent, and have had to borrow from the other. But we have always settled that between us. Neither of us are indebted to the other. He has had to borrow from his mother a few times, and that's when she asks why I'm not covering what he can't cover. I'm maybe because I have MY OWN OTHER BILLS TO PAY???
I have never even MET this woman, and she hates me. It's an old familiar pattern, no matter who I'm with. It's being made very clear to me that being alone is the best option for me, until I'm ready to finally end it all.
