It's not entertaining watching people act like they have it all together.

So much is hidden in the highs. The inevitable downward spirals we all experience becomes their stage for validation. Things seem to get resolved but nobody really cares what the problem is. Nice words, jokes about not caring and moving on.

We all go through cycles. I feel empathy, but I keep my distance from the overly ambitious highs.

I try to keep myself even and humble because I know the ups and downs will happen and I can't pretend I have it all figured out only to be slapped by my own words at any given moment.

The amount I have learned about humans and human history shows me one thing in particular.

We are always at war. If we're not at war with others, we're at war with ourselves.

I choose peace. Not up nor down. Not hidden nor fabricated. And I know that doesn't look like sunshine and rainbows. It doesn't get me friends or popularity. But I'm also not recruiting anyone into my battles.

I'd rather be honest about my humanity and be ignored.

The ups and downs, the screaming and silence, the here today and gone tomorrow, it's disorienting.

Amen… it’s often nauseating

Almost everyone on social media lies and only shows the highlight reels online they aren't sharing war stories about all the things they had to deal with to build their business and struggle it was for instance like I could share the grossest things since I had to rely on someone who is partially incontinent for part of it because that would be honest about how I got to this point but that's not what instagram does.

Instragram would be me just showing photos of me in the ballroom i'm going to at the end of september for the show. only the peak.

what about watching those of us who don't have anything together?
We all have our own coping mechanisms
@EldritchFox I get it ...My go to are jokes ...I don't like divulging too much because I usually regret it

@cherny I respect that. I joke a lot too to get through crap irl. Online I divulge lol it's just when people act like they're so high above their own issues I feel for them because it's a long way to fall.
@EldritchFox I understand...being real has a price ....sometimes it's not worth paying
